Description
This Facilitator Manual is a supplemental resource for providers who are implementing the HealthYOUth Early Intervention Curriculum with youth who have substance use risk needs. The goal of the Manual is to be used by providers to help enhance professional workforce development in foundational areas that are associated with working with at-risk youth and providing early intervention services. The Manual is categorized into four (4) learning modules that cover the following content:
- Module 1: The application of developmental frameworks and models for effectively understanding at-risk substance-using youth populations.
- Module 2: The implementation of best practices for identifying substance use risk behaviors in various service settings.
- Module 3: The consideration of at-risk youth subgroups that pose unique service challenges.
- Module 4: The utilization of innovative practices to improve engagement and retention of at-risk substance-using youth populations in early intervention services.
